The Virtual History Centre has created a virtual worlds version of Port Nepean Quarantine Station – which you can explore using your avatar!

The Virtual History Centre includes:

  • A Landing Point and Orientation Area – to help you get started!
  • A Virtual Museum – where you can explore information and artifacts from Point Nepean Quarantine Station
  • The Virtual Quarantine Station – a virtual replica of some of the main buildings from the real life station

There’s also a Student’s Sandbox and a Teacher’s Centre to provide spaces for you to build and explore virtual worlds.

Since then the park has been used to quarantine people arriving in Victoria, as a defence fortification and as a military barracks. It has a rich and interesting history which you can explore both virtually via the Virtual History Centre, or even in real life!
